James Wilson, MD { house md } enabler Back home, Kutner and Wilson weren't exactly what you would call close. They both worked together, and given that House was Kutner's boss, and Wilson was House's best friend, they had that connection between them. Wilson was the one they went to when House was out of control, to try and find some middle ground between what House wanted them to do and what was acceptable for them to do. It didn't always work, but sometimes it did. When Kutner arrived at the House compound on Day 6, Wilson was the one who talked House down from shooting him, as well as the one who told Kutner that in the timeline they were from, he was dead. Not only that he was dead, but that he killed himself. It was a lot of information to process, and led to Kutner taking off for a while to deal with his feelings on the matter. He eventually did return to the House compound where he has been living with Wilson, even after House disappeared. |

Ed Zeddmore { supernatural } kirk_is_his_hero Ed Zeddmore was another non-native like Kutner who arrived in the Flupocalypse and proceeded to be very confused. He and Kutner first met when Ed first arrived, and Kutner did an absolutely terrible job of introducing him to life after the end of the world. They managed to hit it off, however, and Ed was a ghost hunter, which Kutner had to admit was pretty cool. He convinced Ed to come back to the House Compound with him, where Ed was harassed by House pretty much on arrival, but that's standard fare for dealing with House. He and Ed parted ways when Ed decided to strike out on his own. Kutner didn't think it was the best idea, but Ed wanted to go look for his team, so Kutner couldn't really stop him there. Kutner just hopes that he stays safe, and that he'll hopefully see him again somewhere along the way. |
Sassafras Lally { buffyverse | original } no_substitution Sassy is one of the strays that House and Wilson managed to pick up along the way. She's bright, bubbly, and very much the kind of person that's easy to talk to and get along with. She and Kutner first met when he returned from dealing with his issues, and they hit it off right away. She was always looking for things to do, so when she recruited him and Peter to commandeer a party bus for their little gang, Kutner didn't hesitate to say no. They could all use something to do every once in a while, after all. |
Peter Petrelli { heroes } stepsonbutterflies Peter isn't a guy that Kutner has known very long. He's one of the strays that House and Wilson seemed to pick up along the way, and he and Sassy became fast friends while Kutner was off dealing with his own issues. When he returned to the compound, Sassy roped both Peter and Kutner into a trip in search of a party bus. It seemed like an entirely whimsical and frivolous idea at the time, but it paid off in the sense that the party bus is very awesome. Kutner likes Peter as a guy too, so in both ways it managed to work itself out. |

Gregory House, MD { house md } greyhorsemd House was Kutner's last (and apparently final) boss. He worked for him at Princeton Plainsboro for about a year and a half, fighting tooth and nail for the position every step of the way. He took the job, at first, because he wanted something new and challenging. He kept it because House continued to challenge him every step of the way. He wasn't an easy guy to work for, and his methods could be questionable, but he made coming to work every day a challenge until the moment it wasn't. After Kutner was sent to the Flupocalypse, he arrived at the House Compound around Day 6. He had heard the broadcasts that House and Wilson had programmed to play and did his best to get there as soon as he could. When he arrived, however, House pulled a gun on him and informed him none to gently that he had killed himself over a year go. Needless to say, Kutner didn't take that too well, and after Wilson confirmed that he in fact was real and not a hallucination in House's head, Kutner took off to get some space and clear his head. When he returned, with Ed Zeddmore in tow, things with House seemed to be a little bit easier, or at least closer to normal. He was back to mocking everything, or in this instance, Ed. After that, House disappeared, and Kutner hasn't seen him since. |
